What We Believe
About The Bible
We believe the entire
Bible, as set forth
in the King James Version,
is the inspired Word of God, is without error and is the supreme authority for how we
should live our lives.
About God
We believe in one God,
the eternal Creator and Supreme Ruler of heaven and earth, who reveals Himself as three persons— the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
About the Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy
Spirit is a divine
person of the same nature as God the Father and God the Son. He convicts of sin and is the agent in the believer's baptism.
About Creation
We believe in the
literal account of creation as described in Genesis, that man was made in the image of God and not through
evolutionary change.
|
About the Fall of Man
We believe man was
created in innocence, but by voluntary sinful disobedience, he caused all mankind
to be sinners.
About the Virgin Birth
We believe Jesus was
miraculously conceived
by Mary, a virgin, and that he is both the Son of God and God, the Son.
About Salvation
We believe salvation
(eternal life with Christ in Heaven) is a gift of God, that through the death and
resurrection of his Son, Jesus Christ, our sins have been forgiven. To receive this gift, man must be born again. Once man is born again, his soul is saved for
eternity.
About the Church
We
believe a true church is a congregation of baptized believers united
by faith and fellowship in Christ and whose mission is to spread the Gospel to
the world. Each church is an independent local body
with the right of self-government in accordance with the New
Testament |
About Baptism and the
Lord's Supper
We believe Christian
Baptism is the
immersion in water of a believer, representing our death to sin and resurrection. We believe the Lord's Supper commemorates
the dying love of Christ
until he comes again.
About the Return of
Christ
We believe Christ, who
rose from the dead and ascended to the right hand of God, will return to earth to resurrect the dead, and to bring the believer to
everlasting glory and condemn the unbeliever to eternal punishment.
